Breathe.


Breathing is your best tool in mindfulness, the key to this is to calm your mind.


Try this exercise.


Get comfortable. Place your attention on your breathing. In through your nose and out through your mouth.


Feel the air entering and leaving your body.


Hold your breath for 5 seconds. Exhale through your mouth. Watch your diaphragm fall with the air leaving your body.


Continue to breath in at the rate of five seconds breathing in and five out. Clear your mind. Calmly pulling your focus back to your breathing and the rise and fall of your body.


Keep practising. This exercise can be used as a warm up for any day. Or as a chance to calm down after a hectic experience.
