Elisha Fowler from Northampton, like many others, went on furlough during 2020.
Elisha says,'It has been a struggle for most I'm sure, but it has also let people bloom with their own businesses. Due to being on furlough, I started my own business in Dec 2020, Elisha's Resin Creations'.
Undeterred during a pandemic, Elisha blossomed, and used the lockdown to her advantage, she continues, 'I create beautifully unique resin products such as letter keyrings, personalised bookmarks, coaster sets and trinket dishes'.
With time to concentrate on doing her thing, Elisha used her creativity to spur her on, 'Starting a business is fantastic but can also be overwhelming having to do everything from being the photographer to being your own accountant. With my business still being very new I turn to my mum for support as she also has her own business, making beautiful dog collars'.
So, what can she bring from what must have been such a negative time for so many? 'A positive from lockdown is that I have been able to focus on starting my business. When I was younger I was always quite creative, with drawing or crafting. This has stuck with me and helps when I'm coming up with new ideas or creating a custom order. If anything, my business is the thing keeping me sane and listening to podcasts has helped too.
If I didn't have that I would be sitting on the sofa binge watching all the Netflix series. I would love for my business to become my full time job.
I am always releasing new products, one I am currently working on is with my cat's ashes. I am hoping that I can at some point to be able to create memorable pieces for customers to treasure'.
